The new Ink2image Duo bulk ink systems for Epson desk top printer models provide a simple
and effective way of using bulk ink, and enjoying substantial cost savings compared to
disposable cartridges. The system consists of refillable ink tanks that clip into the printer’s print
head just like regular cartridges. The system is extremely cost effective while reducing the
waste impact on the environment through substantially less plastic being used compared to
throwing away cartridges.
The Duo systems are supplied in kits that include two ink tanks per color along with one 4oz
bottle of bulk ink per color. By using the included syringes, the ink tanks are filled from the bulk
ink bottles. The Duo tanks are then installed into the printer in the same way as regular
cartridges. When the ink in the tank has been used up, it is simply replaced by another tank –
an operation that takes less than ten seconds – and you continue printing. The depleted tank
can then be refilled at leisure. Because the Duo system comes with two tanks per color, you
always have one tank ready and waiting to slip into your printer – no need to stop printing and
refill every time a tank is used up. The Duo tanks can be refilled many times and can be
purchased separately. The Duo tanks are fitted with auto reset ink monitor chips that work in
conjunction with the ink level monitor software on the host computer. Ink levels are shown
decreasing as you print and, when the monitor warns that a color is about to run out, you simply
replace the empty Duo tank with a full one, and the ink level shows full again – it couldn't be
simpler.
